Anglers over 18 must obtain a coarse fishing rod license from the Fisheries Conservancy Board plus a permit from the owner of the fishery. For the latest licence and permit costs please click here.

    Directions: Dungannon head for Donaghmore (2 miles outside dungannon), from where the fishery is signposted.

    • £10 - Three fish
    • £8 C & R
    • Junior anglers £8 for 2 fish
    • Beginner's £8 for 2 fish or one month until catch is achieved.

  • Aughnacloy

  • There is a hardcore and boardwalk path around the lough
  • Rainbow trout
  • Fly fishing, spinning and worm fishing. Fly fishing only from boats
  • Fishing permitted from small rowing boats.
  • 23 acres.
  • Season: 1 February - 31 December
  • 4 trout bag limit and 10 inch size limit
  • Permit: Aughnacloy Post Office. S Kyle, Grocer, Main St, Fivemiletown

    Directions: From Aughnacloy take the B128 towards Benburb, travel around 2 miles taking right at second crossroads (Rehaghy). It is signposted.

  • Brantry Lough

  • Wheelchair accessible. Gates rather than stiles to facilitate anglers with walking difficulties
  • Brown Trout
  • Fly Fishing only. Boats are allowed but no outboard motors.
  • 60 acres
  • Season: 1 March to 31 October.
  • 4 trout bag limit and a 10 inch size limit.
  • Licence: Fisheries Conservancy Board Game Fishing Rod Licence
  • Permit: K Cahoon, 2 Irish St, Dungannon

    Directions: From Aughnacloy take the road for Benburb (B128) Benburb road for approx 5 miles then turn left at Holland's Crossroads. Follow signposts from here.

  • Macronan Lough

  • Situated in Brantry wood, accessed by 1km walk from South car park at Brantry Lough
  • Variety of fish: eel, perch, pike and and tench.
  • All lawful methods including ground bait and maggots.
  • 2.5 acres
  • Season: All year
  • 2 pike per day limit, Pike of 4 kg and over must be returned to the water
  • Permit: K Cahoon, 2 Irish St, Dungannon

    Directions: From Aughnacloy take the road for Benburb (B128) Benburb road for approx 5 miles then turn left at Holland's Crossroads. Follow signposts for Brantry Lough. Walk 1km through Forest path


  • Creeve Lough

  • A hardcore path surrounds the lake
  • Variety of fish: eel, perch, pike and some roach. Rowing boats only

  • Fishing permitted from small rowing boats.
  • 45 acres.
  • Season: All year
  • 2 pike per day, pike of 4 kg and over must be returned to the water

    S Quinn, Main St, Coalisland

    Directions: B128, 6 miles west of Benburb, left at Holland's crossroads to lough or from Aughnacloy take B128 for Benburb, travel 4.5 miles turn right at Holland’s Crossroads and follow signposts.

    Directions: From Caledon take the B45 Dungannon road for approximately 1 mile, the lough is on your right.
    From Dungannon take the B45 towards Caledon for about 11 mile, the lough is on your left.

    Directions: From junction 15 on M1 take the A29 in direction of Dungannon. Continue straight until the second set of traffic lights. At this, turn left (signposted Dungannon Park.)

    Directions: From Fivemiletown take the B122 Omagh/Finton road for about 600m. The lake is in Blessingbourne estate, on the right hand side of the road.

    Directions: 3-mile stretch - upstream from Bond's bridge on west bank (60 pegs); downstream from Bond's bridge on east bank (30 pegs); Verner's bridge at catpark (16 pegs). Ml exit 14 follow b106 towards Moy, at t-junction take right for The argory, the bridge is approx 1 mile.
