Parents Advice Centre (PAC) is a voluntary organisation that offers support, guidance and counselling to parents and young people with family difficulties. PAC welcomes calls from any family member about children of any age. This service is province-wide and free to users.

At Parenting Matters, we believe that parenting is the most important and challenging task that most of us will ever do. We believe that parents should be supported as they care for their children. Parenting Matters offers parents that support, in the form of parenting groups and courses in local communities across Northern Ireland.

  • an enhanced home based Midwifery and Health Visiting service supplemented by a Family Health worker,
  • Home Start Volunteer Befriending service,
  • Crèche and Play Development Worker,
  • Speech and Language Therapist,
  • Home Accident Prevention Equipment Advice and Loans Scheme.

    We are also currently developing a number of areas, namely Mental Health, Working with Fathers, the needs of Portuguese and other ethnic groups.
